Frequently asked questions
Troubleshoot your eSIM
How can i install the eSIM ?
The eSIM card needs to be installed through your device Settings outside of the AlFareedCard website.
Once you complete your eSIM purchase on AlFareedCard, you will receive an email with instructions on how to install and activate your eSIM. Simply head over to the email and follow the instructions for installing your eSIM.
Note that internet access is required to download and activate the eSIM profile to your cellular setting. We strongly recommend that you install (not activate) your eSIM on your phone soon after purchase and then wait to activate the plan when you are ready to use it.
To get a detailed insight on how to install and activate your eSIM, you can read the Installation and Activation Guide.
Tips and Tricks for Driffle eSIM activation
If you’re experiencing issues with eSIM installation, activation, or connectivity, there could be two potential areas of concern.
Trouble with eSIM installation in the Cellular Settings:
If you encounter the error message ‘Cellular plans from this Carrier cannot be added’, it indicates that your phone is locked, preventing the addition of other carriers to your eSIM settings. In such cases, you won’t be able to use our services. Please contact customer support for assistance.
If the error message is ‘Unable to Complete Cellular Change’, it suggests that there’s no eSIM available to download with manual input. Verify your manual entries and use the copy function on our app or website to ensure accuracy. If the issue persists, contact customer support for resolution
Not receiving connectivity after successful installation and activation:
If connectivity isn’t established, perform the following checks before contacting customer support:
Ensure the eSIM line is turned on in your Cellular Settings and set as the default for Cellular Data.
Confirm that roaming is enabled. Navigate to Settings → Cellular, select your eSIM profile, and switch on “”Data Roaming””.
Try turning on airplane mode for 30 seconds and then turning it off to reset connectivity settings.
If issues persist, restart your phone.
If connectivity issues persist despite these checks, there may be technical issues with the eSIM or vendor. Contact customer support for assistance. When reaching out, provide screenshots or recordings of any errors for diagnosis and resolution.
Simple Troubleshooting Tips for your AlFareed eSIM
Sometimes, if new network registration attempts are performed in a short period of time, some eSIMs have trouble connecting to the local cellular network. When this occurs, you may try:
Switching “Data Roaming” OFF and ON again.
Turning “Airplane Mode” ON and OFF again.
Turning the eSIM itself OFF and ON again.
Restarting your phone.
Please DO NOT delete your eSIM while troubleshooting, since doing so will make it invalid.
Please get in touch with customer service if, despite attempting the three troubleshooting techniques, you are still having problems connecting.
Please send screenshots proving you are no longer receiving service when you contact customer care so we can identify the problem and assist you in fixing it.

About eSIM
Can I delete and re-install my AlFareedcard eSIM?
In general, transferring your eSIM to another phone is not possible, and it’s not advisable to attempt to delete and reinstall it unless specifically instructed by our support team.
Each eSIM has a unique identifier, making transfer difficult, and reinstallation is often unreliable across different phone models. However, some AlFareed eSIM providers do support limited functionality for deleting and reinstalling eSIMs on the same phone, but this isn’t guaranteed to work on all devices. If unsure, it’s best to contact customer support for guidance. Deleting an eSIM should only be done under explicit instruction from us or as part of troubleshooting.
How do I know if my device is unlocked?
To ensure that your phone is unlocked, the most reliable method is to check your current policy with your carrier. Typically, devices are locked when you receive a discount in exchange for committing to a term contract. Carriers lock phones to prevent them from being used with other carriers while under contract.
For US, provided below are contact details for major carriers to inquire about the unlock status of your phone. It’s important to provide your carrier with your device’s IMEI number, which can be found in your phone’s Settings → General → About.
Verizon: 1-800-922-0204
AT&T: 1-800-331-0500
T-Mobile: 1-877-453-1304
Sprint: 1-866-275-1411
In Canada, major carriers like Bell and Rogers unlock phones for all purchases made after December 1, 2017. If you have questions about unlocking your phone, please contact your carrier and provide them with your IMEI for verification. You can find your IMEI in your phone’s Settings → General → About.

How long can I use an eSIM?
Our plans come with various expiry options, such as seven days, 30 days, 60 days, and more. Selecting a plan with an appropriate expiry period ensures that you have sufficient data for your intended usage duration. You also have the flexibility to add extra data to your existing eSIM before it expires or depletes, avoiding the inconvenience of installing a new eSIM.
How many eSIMs can I have?
Presently, iOS permits you to download up to 10 eSIM profiles onto your device. However, only one eSIM profile can be activated at a time. You can switch between active eSIM profiles by navigating to your iOS Settings > Cellular and selecting the desired profile. This functionality provides users with the flexibility to manage multiple eSIM profiles on their device, allowing for seamless transitions between different plans or carriers as needed.
